Getting started
Do I need to install any software?
No. Newspaper Maker runs entirely in the browser. Open Chrome or Edge on a laptop or desktop, log in and start making pages.
Do I need to know any design software?
No. Add boxes, drag them into place and type the story in the panel on the right. The options are simple, and most teams learn it within a few hours.
Which devices and browsers are supported?
Any Windows, Mac or Linux laptop or desktop with the latest Chrome or Edge. Page design needs a large screen, so phones and tablets are not supported for the editor.
Can I use my own newspaper name, logo and design?
Yes. The masthead takes your newspaper name, logo, RNI number, website and colours, and you can save your own layouts as templates on the Pro plan.
Can I type in Krutidev or Chanakya?
Newspaper Maker works with Unicode Hindi. If your reporters type in a legacy font such as Krutidev or Chanakya, convert the text to Unicode before pasting it in.
Plans and billing
What is an "issue"?
An issue is one dated edition of one newspaper title — for example, Wednesday 28 October of your daily. It is counted when you download its PDF for the first time.
What if I spot a mistake after downloading?
After the final download you have 15 minutes to correct the issue and download it again at no extra cost. After that the issue is locked; you can still re-download the same issue free at any time, or unlock it to make changes (the next final download then counts as a new issue).
What if I need more issues or pages?
On the Basic and Daily plans, each extra issue costs ₹50 and each extra page beyond 12 costs ₹15. You can also move to a bigger plan at any time.
Is there a free trial?
Yes — 14 days, no card required. Trial PDFs carry a small watermark. Choose a plan only if you like it.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. When you cancel, the service keeps running until the end of the current billing period. See our refund and cancellation policy for details.
Do prices include GST?
No. GST is charged extra as applicable, and you get a GST invoice for every payment.
How can I pay?
UPI, debit and credit cards, and net banking through a secure, RBI-compliant payment gateway. We never see or store your card details.
Features and output
Is the PDF good enough for a printing press?
The PDF is a vector file at the exact page size, with sharp text and fonts embedded. It is ready for e-paper and online sharing, and you can add crop and registration marks for the printer.
How many Hindi fonts are there?
Over 25 Unicode Devanagari fonts, chosen for newspaper use, with headline spacing tuned per font so matras are never clipped.
Can more than one person work on an account?
The Pro plan includes team logins, so an editor and a designer can work on the same newspaper. Basic and Daily allow one login at a time.
Is my data safe?
Your pages travel over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and are stored on secure servers. Your stories and designs belong to you. Read our privacy policy for details.
